Orlando, FL – WUCF premieres the 10th season of Florida Road Trip this week where viewers can explore Florida’s history and culture with award-winning storyteller and series host Scott Fais. The 10th season will feature 10 new episodes around the Sunshine State, revealing some of the lesser-told stories of our communities.

“What sets Florida Road Trip  apart is every episode explores the area through the lens of history," said Jennifer Cook, WUCF Executive Director. "Our audience may have attended a baseball game at Joker Marchant stadium before but may not know the ways in which it honors the fighter pilots who learned to fly there prior to WWII. Florida Road Trip  seeks out those stories in hopes of connecting our present with our past.”

Nestled between Orlando and Tampa is the city of Lakeland, the first pit stop of the newest season. A few of the notable Lakeland locations featured include Joker Marchant Stadium, Florida Polytechnic University, the Florida Air Museum, and the Silver Moon Drive-In Theatre. Plus, viewers will uncover the history of the city’s royal residents of Lake Morton.

Join the ride as Florida Road Trip  takes viewers around the state from the panhandle to the east coast to Tampa Bay. For the first time ever, WUCF will debut 10 episodes to celebrate Season 10.
