Join WUCF and VyStar Credit Union for the PBS KIDS Preschool Book Drive! 

Join WUCF and VyStar Credit Union this fall as we celebrate literacy, kindness, and community! The PBS KIDS Community Book Bash on October 25 kicks off our annual Preschool Book Drive, a month-long campaign collecting preschool-level picture books for Head Start programs across Central Florida. 

The free Book Bash event features storytimes, arts & crafts, sensory-friendly fun, and a special visit from Clifford the Big Red Dog. From there, the community is invited to continue the celebration by donating new or gently used books at participating bookstores and VyStar branches through November 30.

Donate a preschool-level book at the Book Bash and if you’re among the first 50 donors, you’ll take home a Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream single-scoop voucher.

Clifford is back at the Book Bash!

Everyone’s favorite Big Red Dog is returning for another unforgettable day of fun. Don’t miss your chance to give Clifford a big hug while celebrating books, stories, and community!

This campaign supports WUCF’s America250 initiative to encourage civic participation, community care, and access to early learning resources. 

Together, we can unlock the power of literacy and make a lasting impact on our community.

Let’s join forces to give every child a chance to learn, grow, and thrive through the magic of books! 

We ask that there be no religious or adult/violent material donated.  Picture books are recommended for children aged 3-5 years old. Below are a few suggested authors and book series that young children will enjoy.
