Jack Simpson - On-Air Host

A veteran of jazz programming, Jack's Jazz on the Beach show was first aired by a Brevard radio station in 1967 and has been heard on WUCF since 1983. The show includes swing, bebop, and vocal jazz by small groups and big bands.

A "Vintage Big Band" feature often comes from tapes of "remote" broadcasts of long ago. Memorial tributes are paid to jazz musicians as they pass from the scene. A "UK Jazz" segment including British recordings reflects Simpson's English background.

Jack passed away on Sept. 20, 2020, however his show lives on to educate and entertain new listeners on 89.9 Jazz & More.
