April is Jazz Appreciation Month and WUCF FM 89.9 Jazz & More is asking its listeners to show their appreciation by investing in what they love. Known as Central Florida’s jazz soundtrack, 89.9 Jazz & More listeners can keep the station a vital part of the Central Florida community by donating during its spring fund drive running Sunday, April 10 through Saturday, April 16, 2022.
“When you consider the exhilarating power of Jazz music to keep your day in tune, it is clear the vital public service we provide at WUCF FM 89.9 Jazz & More—so dependent on listener support—deserves the community’s support,” said Kayonne Riley, WUCF FM Director of Radio. “Especially during April when we recognize, appreciate and celebrate Jazz, our donors are keeping it alive for every current and future Jazz listener.”
On the air for more than 43 years, WUCF FM 89.9 Jazz & More would not be possible without the support of its donors as private funding makes up more than 35 percent of its annual revenue. Shows such as Jazz and the American Spirit and Live From Studio A as well as new podcasts In The Key of Latin Jazz and Side Player Stories are all possible because of the contributions from dedicated 89.9 Jazz & More supporters.
