Jazz Profiles Singer Nancy Wilson hosts this Gold Medal award-winning, documentary series chronicling the people, places and events in jazz. Jazz Profiles features jazz topics that are varied and all-encompassing, but focuses largely on individuals. Musicians who have been featured in-depth on Jazz Profiles include Dave Brubeck, Sarah Vaughan, Oscar Peterson, Sonny Rollins, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, and Charlie Parker. The series has covered significant anniversaries of the dearly departed, the instruments of jazz, jazz cities, jazz families and more.
Bob Edwards Weekend Sit down with celebrated host Bob Edwards as he talks with the most fascinating entertainers, newsmakers, writers and regular folks with a story to tell. Al Gore, Yo-Yo Ma, John Updike and George Clooney have all dropped by the show, which features in-depth conversation, performance and the occasional documentary from Bob and his staff. Sunday Jazz with John Segers Steeped in a background of classical and preretic music, Johns Segers' Saturday and Afternoon Jazz shows showcase the best of tradition - in the straight ahead jazz style. Midday Jazz with Kayonne Riley Kayonne has been a public radio host for over 22 years, starting at KAMU-FM in College Station, Texas where she hosted afternoon jazz as well as a daily classical music program. Relocating to Orlando in 1993, Kayonne started at WUCF as Program Director and program host. As Station Manager, she began the process of transitioning the station to a full-time straight-ahead jazz format in 1994 and culminating in the broadcast schedule that the community now enjoys.
Kayonne likes to play melodic classical jazz, bluesy vocals like Billie Holiday and pianists like Red Garland and Errol Garner are favorites.

Jazz On The Beach A veteran of jazz programming, Jack's "Jazz on the Beach" show was first aired by a Brevard radio station in 1967, and has been heard on WUCF since 1983. The show includes swing, bebop, and vocal jazz by small groups and big bands. A "Vintage Big Band" feature often comes from tapes of "remote" broadcasts of long ago. Memorial tributes are paid to jazz musicians as they pass from the scene. A "UK Jazz" segment including British recordings reflects Simpson's English background.
Smokestack Lightning
Smokestack Lightning's three hour show appears weekly on WUCF and celebrates new and reissued Blues, Rhythm & Blues, Soul, Funk, Blues/Rock, Gospel and Zydeco/Blues music. Comprised of the "bluesy" team of Marvin Rooks, Paul Newnum, Tommy Thompson and Rob McKinney, SL prides itself in presenting the "very best and very newest Blues in the world".
GG's Steamin' Greens
Gina "G.G." Brooks hosts our Saturday afternoon jazz program "Steamin' Greens" each saturday from 4-8PM. G.G. features four hours of hot jazz with artists like Freddy Hubbard, Miles Davis, Pharoah Sanders, Betty Carter, and lots more.
A native of Chicago, G.G. grew up listening to the music of James Moody, Ramsey Lewis, and she hosted her own radio show at the age of 15.

Jeff has been involved off and on in jazz radio for over twenty years. In addition to being a producer and host of the nationally broadcast JazzWorks, he also hosts a local show which airs on public radio stations in Idaho.
Jeff's goal in his musical performance has always been attracting young players to jazz, and through JazzWorks, he hopes more people will come to know jazz as an accessible and enjoyable art.

Tony's ongoing love affair with jazz music is rekindled each night as he reminds listeners to "...keep a bit of love in your heart, and a taste of jazz in your soul." More than words to Tony Mowod, they are the man's philosophy.
Jazzworks Hosting Jazzworks Saturday night broadcast is Scott Hanley, who has experience in most aspects of broadcasting, especially public radio, in a 20+ year career. He has a special affinity for a jzz-oriented radio - he has been a session leader or panelist for many nattional conferences specifically related to jazz music. Mr. Hanley also serves as volunteer coordinator of the Jazz Radio Consortioum, an ongoing collaboration between public radio stations intent on improving jazz programming nationwide.
Jazzworks With an avid interest in history, Bob has taught the "History of Jazz" at Carnegie Mellon University's Academy for Lifelong Learning, tracing the roots of jazz from 17th century West Africa to the many influences and experiences that have contributed to the evolution of "America's classical music."
