WUCF 89.9 Jazz & More Newsletter May 2010 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
|
89.9 Jazz & More's online Jazzsational is now a bimonthly publication! Please feel free to comment or ask questions - we're here to serve you!
If you contributed during our recent on-air funddrive - we thank you for helping us reach our $31,000 goal! Your dollars keep the station alive and help pay for the great programming that we broadcast every day - from all of our great local hosts, as well as national partners like NPR.
Due to recent changes in local radio offerings - 89.9 is looking to make some programming changes to both our main channel (89.9 Jazz & More), and, to our HD2 channel (89.9 HD2 News & More.) We seek to present broadcast content to Central Florida that is not offered on any other local radio stations. Programs that we have carried for many years are now being duplicated by another local radio service, thus, we will soon be replacing those programs with new offerings. On our main channel these programs that are leaving our schedule include: Fresh Air (airs Monday - Friday at 6 pm), Fresh Air Weekend (Sundays at 7 am), and Weekend Edition Sunday (Sundays 8-10 am).
Additionally, many of our HD2 News & More programs are now also being presented by another local station - thus, we're looking to make many sweeping changes to our daily program schedule on 89.9's HD2 service.
Some of the changes we're considering on HD2 include presenting more Central Florida-centered programs of interest, such as: recordings from local arts and cultural groups, orchestra and theatre presentations, and musical presentations from the music program at UCF.
As always your input and suggestions are always welcome!
We sincerely thank you for listening to 89.9 Jazz & More - everything we do is for you! |
